Rounding up 2008

Amidst the downturn that clouded 2008 ending and worrying about my “rice bowl” and the economic situation. 2008 was a pretty good year for me

I spent quality times with my friends even though I was away like 2/3 of 2008 from Singapore. I had a great time with both my local and Austin friends and the memories could never be replaced with anything. I am glad to have these people in my life so my life would never be dull.

I tried a bunch of new stuff like picking my 1st strawberry from a patch, did mini golf, grape stomping during the wine trail, cut my hair short after 5 years, kayaking (though with a fear of the waters), did Hookah, had a blast at Schlitterbahn (another activity with water!) and last but not least snorkeling (and lots of it!)

I left foot prints in NYC, Hawaii, Japan and Hong Kong. Each trip gave me different experiences and saw different things. Had my 1st CNY in NYC, immersed in Disney fun in Orlando, caught up with Moon in Hawaii and enjoyed the sea and the beaches and a hard time getting used to the slow and relaxed lifestyle there. The serenity of Japan and traveling alone and the cosmopolitan of Hong Kong.

Hobby this year was focused more on cooking rather than baking as I dabbled with different kinds and ways in cooking. Some times, missing food from home than I would whip up something that reminds me of home. If not, I would just experiment anything that my fridge had. I guess having my own kitchen in Austin helped as back at home, the kitchen do not belong to me

Last but not least, it was a good year for PBPBB times. Quality time spent in 2008 and definitely looking forward to 2009. Thanks, Mr PB
Looking forward to what’s in store for 2009…..everyday is new challenge.
