My crappy handphone camera can’t put the real food to justification
This was a birthday treat for a old foodie friend of mine……we opted for the dinner menu sampler. S$64++/pax.
The bread was soft. Shitake mushrooms drained with truffle oil in chap pati follwed suit, wanton bak kut teh soup (the pork ribs was wrapped in wanton skin, innovative), soft shell crab, chopped salmon with fried brown rice, cod fish, beef fillet steak ( still my fav there) and sesame paste with vanilla ice cream (combination of saltiness from the paste with sweetness from the ice cream is a very interesting feeling, like mixing 2 individuals of different character and yet they came out with a happy union.)
Last but not least, warm chocolate cake with flowing dark chocolate for the birthday. Happy Birthday!
** I was there in 2007, place never changed…I looked whimsically back at the seats we used to occupy, this time by some ladies…..time can never go back, I guess.
