Tokyo, Day 5

Lunch choice was Ippudo chain at Ikebukuro. It looked similar to Ippudo Singapore

for your bag
1 simple touch different from the local Ippudo, they have baskets beneath the table for customers to place their personal items.

marinated bean sprout
I cannot stop eating the bean sprouts, it was fragrant, well marinated and crunchy! How did they make the bean sprouts so CRUNCHY?!!!!

ippudo ramen
An order of the Shiomaru (white bowl, The original tonkotsu’ soup noodle with pork loin chashu, kikurage, menma, 1/2 boiled egg, red pickled ginger, sesame & scallions) and Akamaru (red bowl, The original tonkotsu’ soup noodle with Ippudo’s special sauce, pork belly chashu, cabbage, kikurage, scallions, miso paste & fragrant garlic oil) ramen, extra 350Yen for extra egg and pork.

you need some garlic?
Something interesting caught my eye, you put your whole garlic in, press it down and mashed garlic comes out the other end.

dry your umbrella
Some last minute shopping at Donki under the heavy rain. I think this beats the umbrella shields handed outside the entrances much more in terms of being environmentally friendly. You insert your umbrella in and pull it in and out a few times and you get an almost dry umbrella.

good bye
Good Bye Tokyo, it was great and I would be back….hopefully not too long later. 🙂
