春到河畔 2011: 瑞兔呈祥兔气扬眉

River hongbao 2011

River Hongbao will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2011 at The Float @ Marina Bay. The festivities will be bigger and better lasting throughout 13 days covering two weekends from 1st to 13th Feb 2011 opening daily from 12 noon to 11:30pm (except for CNY Eve countdown night which would close at 12:30am).
The theme of River Hongbao 2011 will be “Year of The Rabbit; Many Returns” ( “兔”气扬眉 in Chinese ) meaning to usher in the Rabbit year feeling proud and happy of what we have achieved in past years with the return of the rabbit year.

Entrance
As per any Chinese New Year celebrations, the place is decked out brightly with lights and red.

Rabbity!
Of course, rabbits would be dotted around the entire floating stage at Marina Bay.

Golden Dragon
1 of the 2 main centrepieces…the Golden Dragon.

LED Phoenix
I think this is the Phoenix except that it is decked all out in LED.

God of Fortune
How can we forget our all important God of Fortune.

Plum blossom
1 of the main reason for the short juant at the River Hongbao on its opening day would be for me to test out the new camera and also to immerse in a bit of the CNY festivities.

Night View of MBS
Last but not least, 1 of the iconic skyline for Singapore nowadays, the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
