Crawfish madness

Spring is here, so are the wildflowers. Texas Blue bonnet is a icon for Texas and they are blooming at work too!

As the temperature rises, so is the number of people hitting up for crawfish as it is crawfish season. We had to wait in line for like 30minutes for this little crawfish restaurant.

Crawfish is like a mini mini lobster, but you only eat their body as there is not much meat else where. We ordered like 15 pounds (~7kg) of crawfish for 5 person and they came served in 2 huge plastic bags, in which were the craw fish, potatos, sausages and corns. I think they were like cooked in a huge pot with lots of spices in it and they just serve them in huge bags. The eating process is kinda “disgusting” too. Basically you just peel the shell non stop, plonk the meat in your mouth and threw the shells into the buckets. In between, you would dig into the bags for some potatoes and corns. We were like stuffed to the brink with so much crawfish…

I really wonder what they do to the shells 😛

    I think Chili Crab and Pepper Crab are much better than crawfish!

    Also, those are really nice bluebonnets – the ones by our work were much smaller and not so pretty this year.

    @Peter: ahhaha, i have to agree with you but the closest I can get to any decent was crawfish then…=P Thanks! and they died after 2 weeks..a pity
