The Lighthouse @ Fullerton

fullerton hotel
It isn’t often I come to this part of town.

the lighthouse
The highlight of the night was a birthday dinner at The Lighthouse in Fullerton hotel.

entrance

Sitting at the apex of The Fullerton Hotel where lighthouse keepers used to guide ships in, this Italian restaurant is the latest beacon on the culinary scene today. The Lighthouse features delightful Italian cuisine amidst a lovely ambience, complete with panoramic views of Marina Bay and the city skyline.

Lighthouse

setup
The place was decked in white and orange which was a refreshing sight after a day of work.

moon rise over MBS
I got to agree that the view was pretty awesome with some early moon rise.

1st bite
First up was some bruschetta to open up your senses.

Coffee-spice dusted goose liver, bitter cocoa scented apple sauce puree and a side of fine herbs salad with sambuca sauce.

smoked wild boar
Smoked wild boar with caramelized shallots.

milk and fennel soup
Milk and fennel soup with crispy pork belly and pomegranate.

ragout pork pasta
Handmade egg Tagliatelle pasta with signature wild boar ragout and parmigiano reggiano cheese

Risotto
Risotto cooked entirely in Capon Consomme with fresh thyme and caramelized shallot.

Lamb
Black olives and bread crusted lamb loins with soft potato, warm basil and scented capsicum salad. Which is the only dish I liked so far 😛

Cod
Adriatic style cod in “brodetto” sauce with seasonal vegetables

Seared green apple
Seared green apple in caramel soil and cinnamon ice cream.

Last but not least a birthday cake from the pastry shop.

That’s an incredible view of MBS from the Fullerton. Would recommend this to friends going to SG… Yeah I am amazed at how quickly SG is developing too.

@YM: yes the view was absolutely awesome…but the the food was just so so, I felt I was just paying for the view and a great time with my girlfriends…if you have friends over, I definitely recommend a drink on top of MBS (though pricey too :P) or at 1 fullerton instead.
