I loved the lobby and the set up of the lobby, resort feel and yet full of ambience.

The group of us took a day off work to check ourselves into 1 of the new Sentosa hotels for a girly night of reunion recently and to get some girl bonding time.

Guests are accommodated in oversized deluxe rooms and suites, boasting balconies with gracious, panoramic views of either forest or sea, in deference to nature. 1 comment was: Is this a honeymoon room? Why is there a look through mirror behind the bed into the bathroom?! Fret not, the mural would be down with just a switch and you would be safe away from prying eyes.

We definitely agree with the oversized room since there was a his and hers basin which definitely worked out for 4 ladies.

Some Cider to kick off the stay of our staycation since it had been years since our last one.

forest cafe

An exquisite dining experience awaits guests at Forest 森, a unique dining concept helmed by renowned celebrity chef Sam Leong. Guests dine under a forest canopy inspired ceiling, whilst savoring Chef Leong’s signature flavourful creations.

beach villa pool
As the hotel’s pool is not ready yet so they are currently sharing the pool with the beach villas. The beach villa rooms are standalone huts and the room door will open to the pool with your own jacuzzi, desk chairs and steps into the pool.

While we were walking around, it started pouring but we still managed to sneak a sight of a rainbow.

malaysia food street

Be transported to the nostalgic old towns while indulging in authentic Malaysian hawker fare at Resorts World™ Sentosa! Delicious selections of famous street fare from various parts of the Peninsula, like KL Claypot Rice, Penang Hokkien Prawn Mee, Kampung Nasi Lemak, Klang Bak Kut Teh and many more, await the whole family. With the wide variety of mouth-watering authentic Malaysian dishes combined with the unique old town ambience under one roof at Malaysian Food Street this is definitely one dining destination not to be missed.

Food Street

melaka chicken rice
Melaka chicken rice balls, be prepared to wait in line for at least 30minutes as this is one of the more popular stalls. The chicken was juicy and likely due to the cold water bath, all the oils had con-grated to be like jelly and there was a lot of texture on the meat.

clyapot rice
Minimum wait of 35 minutes for the claypot rice too as they would cook it from scratch with the charcoal after your place your order.

char kway teow
Another popular stall – char kway teow.

wu xiang
Penang style ngoh xiang but the top sellers were all sold out so I thought this was nothing special.

night show

Combining groundbreaking audio and visual technologies, astounding light and water effects, be awed by the cranes’ graceful courtship ritual. The sheer size of the steel cranes moving deftly in the midst of water illusion and play of light is one not to be missed.

Crance Dance

view from room
Headed back to the room after the evening entertainment.

Chilling the night away with wines. The very sexy shiraz from South Africa was not too bad.

waking up to this the next morning, to go back to reality.
