what-a-drink-venture

drink
Decided to expand the drink-venture to drinks in Japan instead of alcoholic drinks. As it was scorching hot in Japan when I visited so I was busy buying drinks from stores and vending machines dotting the country. First drink try, Karuizawa milk…..pretty rich….you have to deposit the bottle outside the store after you are done for recycling.

drink
Aluminium canned green tea (葉の茶 芳醇な旨み) – this was the powdered green tea type with tea leaves from Shizuoka and totally refreshing against the parched throat after my Izu hike.

drink
This drink from Kimura drinks totally caught my eye! Green tea cola found in green tea abundance Shizuoka prefecture. Honestly, it just tasted like sugared carbonated water, but it was still worth a try just for the sake of trying things out. 🙂

drink
I thought this was a carbonated drink but it tasted like our version of red bull! Energy drink from Asahi but I did not feel energised from drinking it though. I guess these type of drinks don’t work on me 😛

drink
Bought a few cans of beer from Karuizawa, I love to get limited edition items in Japan. It makes you think that there is some sort of exclusivity in the items purchase. This is the Belgian white beer brewed for Summer 2012 with the main target for female drinkers.

drink
This is the Karuizawa award http://item.rakuten.co.jp/yonayona/c/0000000117/“>winning beer with a fruity aftertaste (I found out that this can be found in the Liang court super market in Singapore! but it is priced 2 times the price as compared to Japan.)

drink
Sushi san won this

drink
Another 2 beers from Karuizawa. The last one is 2012 summer limited.

drink
Local beer from Izu, sushi san won this from his business trip and he saved it back for me to try. haha….

drink
Kirin mango chu-hi, new flavor for summer and it tasted like mango juice!

drink
Love this grape chu-hi from Asahi as it wasn’t too sweet.

drink
Finally found my beloved yuzu liquor in the supermarket =)
