Yuzawa Echigo, Japan – Day 8(c)

View from the ropeway on the way down.

It was a mixture of cold air, rain and fog.

Yuzawa is not only a famous ski area but a hot spring town too. There were many hot foot bath dotting the streets which is free of charge for guests to use. Since it was so cold, we stop by a few of the foot baths to warm ourselves up along the way. This one which we stopped has spring water which is to make the skin white and smooth.

Fallen red leaves.

Inside Yuzawa Echigo station, there was stalls selling local food products which is a great distraction when you are waiting for your train.

Oh! Someone is drunk here.

There is a sake tasting area there, for 500 JPY you get to choose to taste 3 small cups of sake from a selection of about 100 sake from the different sake producers in the region.

Cherry apples from Japan.
