Okinawa, Japan (Ufuya/Yachimu Cafe) – Day 3(b)

okinawa lunch
A very old and popular resturant, Ufuya(大家・うふやー)which means big house is at least 100 years old. The place is nice to walk around to let you see how the old days were. This was about 20 minutes drive from the aquarium located in the hilly area.

Lunch menu was more limited compared to the dinner choices so we settled for the Okinawa pork soba.

Thick chunks of the fatty pork but this one is a little tough.

okinawa lunch
Okinawa pork don which was very fragrant though.

Another 15 minutes away on the other side of the mountain would be this little quaint cafe popular from word of mouth and internet searches (with no homepage of theirs)

Yachimu Cafe (やちむん喫茶シーサー園) is only accessible if you drive and the place was full when we arrived.

It was chilly but there was fire place on level 2 and warm rugs were provided for us too.
