Uokin (魚金 池袋店)

Mr W visited Tokyo recently and we headed to this ever popular sashimi izakaya chain at Ikebukuro, even though it was pouring but there was still a line.

Tofu seaweed soup, recommended dish from the shop. A tad too much MSG in my opinion (and my iphone 5 actually dropped into this, which is a total mess *groan*)

hot pot rice, or 斧饭, the rice is cooked from scratch in this hot pot and hence it is at least a 20 minutes for this.

This was an over estimate as I didn’t know that the serving would be so large. The staff quite asking if this was too large for 2, 6 types of sashimi including the season’s Bonito fish for only 1980JPY! No wonder this place is so popular with the salaryman.

Best of all, a love package from Miss E all the way from Singapore. 🙂 Totally miss Singapore food….yummy!
