Disneysea – Mira Costa

Tokyo Disneysea - Mira Costa
The highlight of the entire Disneysea trip was the overnight stay with Mira Costa. It is the only Disney hotel that is built inside a Disney resort. The perks of staying here is that you can enter Disneysea 20 minutes prior to opening time and you can enter in/out of Disneysea by the private entrance. We didn’t have the chance to enter the park earlier as we did not buy 2 days pass to enter the park.

The hotel lobby, fancy isn’t it?

The whole place was packed with people checking in at 3pm. Most of us had already registered at the Tokyo Disney Resort Center when we arrived at Maihama Station and our bags have already been transferred to the hotel. So after we check in, made the full hotel payment. We were asked to wait in the lobby while the porter retrieve our bags and show us to our room.

during the 20 minutes wait, I did a little walk around. The passageway that leads down to the ballroom for your Disney Weddings.

Our room was on the Venice side with a partial view. We had a good view of the pool though.

too bad, the pool was closed so I cannot go there to take more close up photos.

Jan is the low season and also the cheapest month to book Disney hotel so the room we stayed was 40% off the peak price but even on the day we checked it, the hotel was almost full for the night. When we were looking at the reservations, most of the Saturdays were already fully booked for all the cheaper rooms.

But it was our birthdays so there was a good excuse for us to indulge in such a staycation and since we din get the chance to go Europe, let us just pretend a night that we are in Italy? 😛

Sun is almost setting when we checked in. All the buildings to our right that depicts the Venice buildings were all hotel rooms.

It was an enjoyable stay and trip out to Disneysea that day, even though poor Sushi san had to leave for work direct from disneysea the next day which from his point of view – sucked! But I did haul all our bags alone back to Tokyo after check out……so we are quits….

The details of Mickey in the hotel room are quite elaborate. Even more amazing is how popular the hotel is! I wonder if it’s just in Japan or do other countries have the same level of patronage…. Sugoyi!

@BB: I think it is a Japan thing, but there were a lot of tourist from Chinese speaking countries too. I think it is nice to come for a stay if you are a disney fan but I think it is too expensive to come stay unless it is for a special occasion. .
