[Throwback] Almost 4 months have passed since the Waseda Festival on the first weekend of November where we celebrate 文化の日 in Japan. Many schools hold their school festival around that period.
At that time, the leaves were still green, the weather had started cooling from the really hot summer days.
A tinge of leaf color change.
The whole campus was packed with students and people living in the neighborhood. The school festival is similar to a school fun fair with games, performances, food stores and activities.
Of course, different extra curriculum clubs were showcased their activities, just in Waseda University there are like more than 3000 registered/unregistered clubs (or circles as the Japanese stated)
Cos-play is the in thing for students to attract people to visit their performances and stores.
A thick brochure stating the different timing and locations for the stores and activities.
Food stores selling yaki sobas, bubble tea, deep fried food etc.
Belly dance club performance attracted the most audience…..
If you are visiting Tokyo in the first week of November, do pop by a campus to check out their school festival. It would be an interesting experience.
