As we made our way back to Kawaguchiko, we had about 2 hours before our return bus ride so we decided to walk about 15 minutes from the station to the nearby Kawaguchiko Lake.
Relatively quiet on a weekday, even the old uncle who was sitting at his boating booth tried to sell us the 15 minutes boat ride for a discounted price citing no customer that day.
But it was too cloudy that day to get on a boat ride which we won’t get to see Mount Fuji either.
Not far is Mt Kachi Kachi Ropeway which cost 720JPY for 2 ways. You can get a discount here from this link
Stopping by Cheese Cake Garden for a coffee break, they have a few seats for eat in customer. They have a interesting Miso Cheese for sale which I saw a few people buying it back.
Nice place to chill-lax after a warm afternoon of walking (talking about warm, it is still not that hot yet but the sun rays in Japan is much stronger)
Thumbs up for their cakes! Love my not so sweet fluffy cheese cake.
Saw this in the toilet and thought it was pretty interesting. I guess many tourists visit this station since it is the connecting station to Mt Fuji visits so I guess there is a need to educate the tourists in a light way? *smile*
