Good morning! It was a perfect blue sky day though the temperatures soared up to almost 30 degrees (what happened to the cool summer?!)
Buffet at the hotel….Food was always delicious in Hokkaido.
The Blue Pond (青い池, Aoiike) outside the hot spring town of Shirogane Onsen is named after is deep blue color which it owes to natural minerals dissolved in the water. Not promoted as a tourist spot until recent years, the pond is part of an erosion control system that was built to prevent damage to Biei in case of an eruption by nearby Mount Tokachidake.

Winter wonderland is transferred to all these brightly colored flowers.
Breathe in the fresh ai.
A lot of flower species are planted.
Rainbow of flowers.
A small patch of lavender field was found there too.

The female mascot.
Definitely recommended for a visit if you are visiting Hokkaido during the summer.
Of course, you should not leave Hokkaido without filling your tummies full of Hokkaido Melons. First up would be slices of Furano melons.
Oo…..Canned bear meat, do you dare to eat it?
If you are in Furano, I guess most tourists would head to this restaurant, Masaya, to eat their local famous curry omelette rice.
Each curry rice would come along with a bottle of Hokkaido milk. The curry wasn’t too spicy and the omelette that sits on top of the rice was moist and fluffy. The pork was grilled in chunky portions so you can have a actual chewy bite to it.
Yummy! It was really delicious.
We also got their soft egg pancake which is also one of their recommended items off their menu.
Teppanyaki pork chop and they even turned down the lights in the store and asked us to watch the moment the chef poured wine over it creating a fiery effect.
