Ramen Bar Suzuki

[Throwback March] Since our move back to Singapore, We realised that we have been eating out much less compared to what we did in Tokyo. There are various reasons to this and one of the main reasons is that our tastebuds has been thoroughly spoiled by the food we ate in Tokyo. For some reason, we found the food not that tasty here nor the service appealed to us plus the weather is just no helping either. However, we decided to embark on a project to check out the ramen shops recommended by the Japanese community in Singapore as to force ourselves to venture out of our home.

So for our first shop, we chose to check out this ramen bar at Raffles place that is highly recommended for their fresh noodles.

suzuki Ramen
Menu looks very Japanese, and the choices were very similiar to what we would see in Japan.

suzuki Ramen
Looks like this place is opened by brothers who decide to venture out of Japan.

suzuki Ramen
Everything is supposed to be homemade.

suzuki Ramen
Order place is also what we would find in Japan. Both English and Japanese order sheet is available too.

suzuki Ramen
Free flow of hard boiled egg, potato salad and marinated bean sprouts for in house guests.

suzuki Ramen
Miso ramen for him.

suzuki Ramen
Burnt miso ramen for me.

Maybe we went on a Saturday afternoon when the crowd is less, I feel that that the ramen made that day lacks a punch. The noodle texture was good but the soup seemed normal to me. Or maybe it is just the water in Singapore. Sushi san commented that he needs to go back and try on a weekday to see if there is any difference.
