Ginza Tendon Itsuki is launched by Ramen Keisuke, a popular ramen chain in Singapore, as its 8th new concept outlet. The restaurant is launched in collaboration with the Ginza Itsuki Sushi restaurant in Tokyo, Japan.

They only have 2 choices in their menu now – Vegetable tempura or special tempura (with meat)

No wonder, I couldn’t find much information about this tendon place from Japanese search as it is a local collaboration. But the whole setup looks and feels like the famous Kaneko Hannosuke (金子半之助0 from Tokyo where a typical queue is at least 2 hours.

The wait time for Tendon Ginza Itsuki is at least 20 minutes if you arrive early as the whole place is quite small but the turnaround for customers seems to be quite fast. Counter seat allows you to see the chefs at work, one to deep fry the vegetables and the other to man the meat section. The Japanese chef would arrange the tendon and okays the food to be served.

First up would be the chawan mushi and eat all you can pickled vegetables.

We got the meat specials, and I understood why this place is so popular. This meal is quite filling for about SGD16 (GST included)

You get 2 giants shrimps, 2 juicy chicken breasts, 1 lady fingers, 1 egg plants and 1 egg.

The best thing, I love about such tendon would mix the egg yolk with my rice and the Tendon sauce. So oiishi!!!! A little regret would be that they replaced the usual deep fried fish as served in Japan with Chicken breast. I ain’t a fan of chicken breast but it wasn’t too bad.

Ending my meal, I said “Gochisou-samadeshita” to the Japanese Chef and he looked up in shock and gave me a smile and replied “Arigatou-gozaimashita” I guess, not many Japanese or Japanese speakers have visited this place yet.
