It is time to celebrate…two

Birthday surprise
I cannot believe how smoothly the “carebear” execution went…how smoothly she had me spilling information to her…..and how surprised I got when I got a call from the reception that there is a delivery for me……Thanks to my 2 dear carebears and their partner in crime, SB, to execute this….

Ippudo ramen
Lunch was the currently highly raved ramen place, Ippudo, from Tokyo. The line was not that bad at 2pm on a weekday afternoon but we still had to wait for like 15minutes before we could get a table.

Ippudo
We got the shiromaru motoaji and akamaru kasaneajiedit (I think) and added the egg and pork for adds and a shrimp bun. The ramen here are a little pricey and the egg was like $2 a piece. Although it was a little pricey was it was worth every single broth drop…..At least I know I would be going back there again πŸ™‚

Jones the grocer
The aroma of the bread caught me in my steps out of Ippudo, even though I was stuffed with ramen but I guess there is always room for something. It is a half bristo and the other half is cheese and wine place. 1 thing I notice was most (or many everyone) of the servers were westerners. An extra ordinary sight in Singapore but it did made me feel like I was back in USA or maybe, Australia?

Jones coffee
However, the coffee was a little disappointing even though it looked good….I ordered a HOT beverage but the coffee felt it was made with room temperature water…..bane! however, the fresh bread smell made up for it….and my care bear who took time off to chill the noon with me πŸ™‚

1st cake of 2010
My 1st cake of the year, complete with candles and birthday song with my dears from work…..Thank you so much for the great lunch and nice chocolate cake you got because I like that cake…

Chocolate & Hearts
Cake was from Awfully Chocolate where I really dig their ice cream and cake – bitter sweet dark chocolate, totally my type…and not to forget the highly sought after Cupid Doremon from MacD’s that was given to me…thanks, sister J πŸ™‚

Momax Battery Charger (White) Review

iPower
Thanks to Abraxis, I got an external battery for my Apple from Hong Kong as a back up battery as all Iphone users would know how fast the battery drains. Although, I already turn off most of my settings to make sure I don’t use up the juice whenever I am out but that kinda defeats the purpose of having the phone for ease of use and accessibility, isn’t it. Extremely dumb when I have to space out my web surfing, u-tubing, game playing (not that I play a lot of games)….

From their website:
Momax is the most professional brand of mobile phone accessories products in Hong Kong.

In the box:
1) iPower X-Level Battery x 1
2) USB Charging/ Data Cable x 1

I think Abraxis got it in Mongkok (Abraxis, correct me I am wrong!)

A blur photo of how I plug it into the iphone.

charging up
I had the back up battery charging my phone that had only 10% of battery left and within 1 hour, the phone was fully charged up. This little guy is now always following me every where and my phone is now pushing all sorts of notifications to me and I no longer need to worry that I would left with a juice-less phone whenever I go out. πŸ™‚ I am happy.

Home Cooked

kimchi fried rice
chao sao omelette
stir fried celery
sometimes, I get the kitchen but there is limited ingredients so I make the most out of it….
a quick dinner done in 45min. Kimchi fried rice, left over char shao for an omelette and stir fried celery….
sometimes, cooking is just so therapeutic, at least for me…. πŸ™‚

Happy Birthday to myself.

I can’t believe that I am already 30…..and the state actually have to remind me that I have opened a new decade to my life by receiving the “it is time to update your IC when you are 30” letter…

Thank you for the gift, Singapore! I know from this moment, I am in my early 30s πŸ˜›

1st wedding of 2010

wedding of the year
So we gather today for the holy matrimony of my dear friend, Jas with her Down under love…..Pictures always tell a thousand words and I would just put it in a simple manner that it wasa beautiful wedding of 2 people who really loved each other and family and friends were gathered to wish them all the best for their future and I am glad I could witness thisΒ especiallyΒ for my friend who is so happy.

Que Pasar

chill
BFF is in town for a short transit from Tokyo before he takes off to KL. It’s a been more than a year since I last saw him and he was literally screaming for UNHEALTHY American bar food the moment he stepped into here as he had stuffed himself silly with sushi and sashimi ( which I wished I was there to eat! )…. So of course what the BFF wants, he gets it….(since I am always anΒ obligingΒ host)….My favorite ICB wings, wedges and flower cheese, we opted to dine in Que Pasar as it is more quiet and much better if you want to talk….Everything washed down with some nice Pinot Noir from USA (that costed like 2.5 time more than it would have costed in USA)

It was a great night to catch up with him and congratulations! πŸ™‚
